Custom look vinyl plank flooring installation in a Louisiana home

Customizing your style with vinyl plank flooring

Yes, you can customize your vinyl plank flooring. We're not just talking about the wide array of stock colors, patterns, designs, and species that are automatically available with this product. We're not even only talking about the realistic mimics of wood, stone, or tile or the plank and tile-sized cuts. You can do plenty of creative customizing with that just by mixing and matching and using different patterns.

We’re also talking about using digital printing so your luxury vinyl flooring mimics concrete or even a gingham-like design found in some flooring lines. Whatever you choose we can promise it’s always going to go far beyond Grandma’s floor. Your floor will now become the “crown in the jewel of your home.”

What is luxury vinyl flooring?

This is a remarkable mimic of natural products. It can even be difficult sometimes to tell the difference between the two. The images are taken with 3D photography so they're clear and vibrant with knots, raised grains, swirls, and veining variations. The floor is embossed to add depth and dimension. Textured appearances, such as wire-brushed, hand scraped, weathered, and distressed are at one's fingertips!

You can have it cut into planks (luxury vinyl plank) or groutable tile-sized pieces (LVT). Many feel the extra seams add even more realism. Some take it even further by using grout, which now comes in a wide color palette, with the tiles.

Vinyl plank flooring is most often associated with wood looks, but people do sometimes use it to mimic stone since the fewer seams give it a more continuous look like that of a marble slab. The planks are made by cutting the vinyl into strips. They are then mounted on boards, which mimic hardwood planks or stone slabs.
